💢 Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi tunnels – My Tho (L, D/Cycling 40km+)
Venturing to start cycling from the Tan Phu Trung village that takes about an hour drive out of the bustling Saigon. We will warm-up 27 km to the historic Tunnels which was an underground village for Vietnamese Soldiers during the Vietnam war and lunch on the Saigon Riverside before transfer to Long An for afternoon cycling. This first impressive cycling loop in Mekong Delta will be the ricefields and dragon fruits along the ride to My Tho city. 💢 Day 2: My Tho – Tra Vinh – Can Tho (B, L, D/Cycling 60 km+)
Following your breakfast, we’ll transfer to the Khmer culture center in order to learn the minority’s culture at their khmer pagoda at which we continue to ride through rural villages, local markets to Ben Tre and Tieu Can for the lunch break. From a local restaurant along the side of highway 60, we turn into a small road to explore untouched villages all the way to Can Tho downtown. 💢 Day 3: Can Tho – Bac Lieu – Ca Mau (B, L, D/Cycling 55 km+)
Today’s morning you will be an explorer for the boarding boat trip to the most exciting floating market in the urban district of Can Tho and cycle toward Bac Lieu through gently undulating farmland filled with large shrimp and fish farms. You will enjoy and experience a leisurely way of local life, friendly people in countryside villages until you reach Bún Tàu and a part of Mỹ Tú. After lunch in the town Bac Lieu, we bike through tranquil villages and bustling riverside markets before we reach and cycle on quiet back roads close to the oceanside to Bac Lieu.
In the afternoon, we ride through rice paddies, salt fields and shrimp farms, then we continue riding on back roads Ganh Hao. In the afternoon, we cycle on beautiful country roads along the Ganh Hao River. After 25 km, your guide will figure out, if time permits, we turn right on small country back roads and keep riding as long as we want. Other way is going straight and it’s a short distance to highway 1A. Then get on an A/C van/bus for driving to Ca Mau city. 💢 Day 4: Ca Mau – Nam Can – Dat Mui Cape (B, L, D/ Cycling 50 km+)
Ca Mau is Vietnam’s biggest exporter of shrimp and prawns in the Mekong Delta. There are many touristy sites that attract local but not to foreign tourists. There is nothing to see in big and modern city but rural Districts are wondering how to explore new things. After breakfast, a transfer by bus taking us to the Nam Can, a famous fishing Dist of Mekong Delta, belonged to Ca Mau province, cycling up to 80km to the south-west of Camau for Dat Mui Cape and ride through the Cai Nuoc ward, ride on backroads along canals through shrimp farms, and fish farms before we ride deeply into many villages along rivers. 💢 Day 5: Ca Mau Departure (B/No cycling)
One of the reasons to suggest you choose this spectacular Mekong cycling trails 5 days because Ca Mau has a good airport where you can fly to Hoi An, Hanoi or you can take a boat trip to Phu Quoc island by speedboat. You can return to Saigon with our guide for a long rest in the comfortable vehicle for about 6 hours ! End of our service in Ca Mau’s accommodation.
