Mekong is a beautiful region, but choosing a good tour is not easy! Here’s an overview of Mekong Delta Tours you can expect for a 1 day, 2 days, 3 days, 4 days, or 5 days Mekong tour:
1 Day Mekong Tour:
- Usually starts early in the morning and lasts until late in the evening
- Visit floating markets, local villages, see traditional handicrafts or farming activities
- Enjoy a boat ride down the Mekong River and have lunch in a local restaurant
- Return to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) by evening
2 Days Mekong Tour:
- Day 1 itinerary is similar to the 1-day tour but with an overnight stay in Can Tho or another city on the Mekong Delta
- Day 2 may include additional sightseeing such as visiting more villages, exploring Cai Rang floating market or taking a bicycle ride to the rice fields
- Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon or early evening on day 2
3 Days Mekong Tour:
- Day 1 and 2 is similar to the 2-day tour but with an additional day of sightseeing or relaxation
- Day 3 may include visiting temples, exploring pagodas or enjoying relaxing time in a resort near Mekong Delta
- Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon or early evening on day 3
- 4 Days Mekong Tour:
- Day 1 to 3 is similar to the 3-day tour but with an additional day/night on an Island or in Vinh Long Province
- Day 4 may include cruising down Tien River, visiting a fruit garden and experiencing the traditional music of the Mekong Delta
- Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon or early evening on day 4
5 Days Mekong Tour:
- Day 1 to 4 is similar to the 4-day tour but with an additional day/night in Chau Doc
- Day 5 may include visiting the Cham minority village, Sam Mountain, and a visit to Cambodia border crossing
- Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon or early evening on day 5
