Hue Citadel, also known as the Imperial City, is a historic walled city located in Hue city, Vietnam. Built in the early 19th century, the Imperial City was home to the Nguyen dynasty, who ruled Vietnam from 1802 to 1945. The citadel is renowned for its stunning architecture, impressive fortifications, and intricate gardens.
Hue Citadel covers an area of 500 hectares and features a massive moat, a series of walls, and ten main gates.
